Miniatures
I have also been developing a collection of colourful miniatures and in between shows and commissions I have spent time playing and testing. Throwing with such a small amount of clay is very different than I’m used to but I’m excited about the progress. I have created a new way of applying my colours which is working really well and I hope to have this new more affordable collection launch next year.
White work
I have been exploring new designs and new white clay and I’m now starting to finalize my creations. Along the way I have made pieces and fired them to see how and if they work and you will find a selection of these on my shop at amazing prices.
Ryukin fancy fish vessel
I have decided to part with a much-loved early piece of my work this Ryukin fancy fish large vessel. There are pieces that some times are hard to let go of but I feel now my work has changed so much I’m happy for them to find a new home. Award winner
It’s been an interesting year for the development of my work and some great opportunities that came my way. I was very excited to be the joint winner of the London Potters Maker Award this year and I will be using the funds to start my sgraffito classes next year. This is something I have been wanting to do for a while so it feels like now’s the right time. Do get in touch with me if your interested to know more about the classes.
